I deserve gifts (and other stories I tell myself)
Being single, I can't wait around for someone to buy me gifts, and I deserve gifts, so I buy them for myself. Why not? I always know exactly what I want. Plus some stuff I just need. So yeah, that's all the rationalization I need.
So what did I buy?
Business-related gifts
#1 Big thing: A new memory card. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but these things are getting out of hand cost-wise. But I needed it for #3 and it was on sale.
#2 Bigger thing: For my business, I bought myself a much-needed new iMac. It was time. I was spending about 45 minutes every morning trying to get everything up and running. The bad news is, my new computer was kind of a lemon and kept turning off while I was working, so I had to send it back and I'm waiting not so patiently for my replacement. I'm really hoping the replacement is as reliable as my old iMac has been.
#3 Biggest thing: Okay, so this one is a big deal for me. The photo kind of gave this one away, I pre-ordered a new camera, the Nikon Z9, and I should receive it in mid-December. Wooohooo!!! This thing is beautiful and heavy. I need to start lifting some weights. I hope it lives up to the hype!
Just for me gifts
Since my old Fitbit died a while ago, and the Charge 5 was on sale, I couldn't resist. I'm loving this new version. It's super comfortable, the display is colorful and I have 6 months of cool premium features, features that I think I'll be too cheap to pay for when my free period is over. In 2022 I have hopes of getting outside and being a bit more active, so the Fitbit will serve to either reward me with good numbers or shame me when I'm lazy. I get to choose.
I also bought myself a new salad spinner. I know, super boring, but this one is big and it's stainless steel, so it won't warp in the dishwasher.
I added a new Blink camera to my home, a cheapy little golf putting thing so I can practice putting right in my living room. Yes, I totally know that goes against my goal of getting outside more, but I can use this in-between getting out to golf.
Oh and I don't even know how many Chewy orders I have coming. Yikes. I guess I went a bit crazy.
I'm curious about what everyone else buys themselves, so I'm going to head over to I Got the Shot Photography's blog post where Elaine Tweedy of I Got the Shot Photography gives you a look at a personal treat she grabbed on Black Friday.

Nicole Hrustyk - Oh wow! I didn't realize it was something that happened (lemon computers). I'm happy to say, my replacement is working just fine.
Still waiting for that Nikon...
hahaha yes, I'm happy to support our economy if it makes my dogs happy. Plus those Chewy deals!

Tracy Allard - FUN purchases! I too had a bit of a lemon two computers ago, but Apple made it right. I love my iMac and 27" monitor. Can't wait to see what you think of the new Nikon and I bet you had some pretty happy pups when all those Chewy orders arrived! Thank you for supporting the US economy LOL.

Nicole Hrustyk - Based on the rumors of how many pre-orders there are in comparison to how many camera bodies have been produced, I think I have a very long wait. :(
