Welcome, 2021!
Week 1 of the Pet Photography 52 week Project 'Beginnings'
Will 2021 be a flipped switch and overnight the shit show of 2020 will be over? Uhm YEAH! Okay, Maybe not that suddenly, but my optimism is sort of overflowing right now, and be warned, I might get out of control with my sharing of awesome (and relevant) quotes.

What gifts did 2020 bring you?
A year ago, we were all celebrating the beginning of a new year, believing it would be a fresh start and hoping for a great year. I feel pretty confident in saying that 2020 was not what anyone expected or hoped for. Let's face it, 2020 was just bad from start to finish. Without forgetting the loss and damage that the year brought us, instead, I would love to hear and share the good that came from the year.
What did 2020 teach you that you wouldn't have learned in a normal year? What good things came of 2020? I hope everyone has a long list, even if it's just home projects, more walks, and spending time with your dog.
Dear Past Thank You For All Of The Lessons. Dear Future I Am Ready! - unknown
A couple of good and bad gifts from 2020
Among the many things I learned, (politics, history, humans, etc) I also learned that I love being home with my dogs, who by the way, have become demanding little creatures expecting to be let outside or back inside every 5 - 10 minutes.
It was a year of growth and learning for me and I'm looking forward to more growth and learning in 2021 - but not please not 2020 style.

Exciting News!
New Year's resolutions have never been a big thing for me, but this year is going to be different. I'm making changes, from small ones to pretty drastic ones.
To start with, pet photography will no longer be that thing I do on the side, it will be THE thing I do. Yup, FULL FREAKING TIME PET PHOTOGRAPHER HERE! Woot! This decision would have never happened if 2020 was an ordinary year, so I'm grateful for the journey that brought me here.
“We must never lose our sense of urgency in making improvements. We must never settle for “good enough,” because good is the enemy of great.” - Tony Hsieh
Small Changes
Along with that major life change, I have some small changes I plan to make. Morning pages (which is just writing about anything or nothing when I wake up), daily mediation (shhh I'm starting with 1 minute), more walks, more hikes, less time on the computer, more vacations, read more books, more time enjoying life.
I hope you found a few things to be grateful for from the last year and also have some resolutions for 2021!
Happy New Year!
