The history
Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs is a 680-acre park in northwest Las Vegas, Nevada, that has a rich history. Named after former Nevada state senator Floyd Lamb, the park was once a working ranch that still boasts old buildings from the early 1900s. During the 1940s, it was converted into a divorce ranch where people could stay for six weeks, file for divorce, and then return home. The park has undergone several name changes over the years and has switched from being a city to a state park and back to a city park. Today, the park's name includes "at Tule Springs," which refers to the Ice Age fossil beds in the surrounding area that contain the remains of extinct animals. Along with its historic buildings, the park has natural springs stocked with fish, picnic areas, walking paths, and mountain biking trails. It is also surrounded by paths for walking, running, biking and horseback riding just outside the park, providing a wide range of activities for visitors to enjoy.
What I love about Floyd Lamb Park
Firstly, those who are over 50 years old can enjoy a senior discount, and an annual pass is priced at only $25, which is a great deal!
Floyd Lamb Park is a unique park, unlike any other in town. The park is vast and beautiful, with plenty of shaded areas ideal for taking a leisurely stroll through nature surrounded by a variety of animals, such as peacocks, ducks, and birds, without having to venture too far out of the city.

Nicole Hrustyk - The old buildings are kind of cool to look at, but they are stark white and don't really fit my typical soft color palette, so I don't use them much.

Cahlean - It looks like a stunning park to visit! Perhaps you'll have to show it off to all of the dog photographers attending Shutterhound in September! (We'll be in Vegas!)
