A virtual walk through Sunset Park Trail
Sunset Park Trail runs behind and next to Sunset Park. The trail isn't long but you can take different turns so you aren't walking the same loop over and over. The landscape is made up of dead-looking trees, some burned areas, bushes that might be weeds, and dirt, but it's a pleasant enough walk. Dogs must be kept on a leash since it's a nature preserve. There are bunnies, birds, desert tortoises, of course, coyotes, and probably snakes in the summer.
I created a little TikTok video to share, but then realized I didn't know how to embed the video from TikTok and had to upload it to Youtube. This means, the video is shot in portrait, but YouTube displays in landscape and it doesn't fill the youtube screen. Ack! Sorry! This should give you an idea of what the paths look like. I didn't video much of the area, because it looks pretty much the same everywhere.
One big plus is that there are trash cans spread out, so you won't have to carry poop for your entire walk. yay!

Here's another video with a few photos and ends with the actual sound from my walk. The sign in the photo is a coyote warning, explaining to keep pets on leash, small children close by, and what to do in case of a coyote encounter.

Linda Perdue - Great idea to do a video....I've got to get better at doing that. I haven't done very many and those I have done are all on my cell phone....thanks for sharing!

Nicole Hrustyk - Tracy, I took the photo on a search for a framing image for Emerge. But I didn't think I pulled off the angle just right for it to fit framing, so I didn't enter it. But I'm super excited, you saw what I was going for!
I'm so bad at video. Definitely, a lot to learn.

Nicole Hrustyk - Hahaha, that little tune has been stuck in my head since making the video.

Darlene - Catchy little tune "walk the dog" - I will be singing it!!! Love that you shared some video. Looks like a nice and quiet area, too! Great point on the trash cans being available - they seem to be "non existent" everywhere I go lately lol!

Tracy Allard - That picture. I love the colors, the framing. Everything. Gah! Your foray into video sounds a bit like mine; it's a learning curve LOL
