Don't forget to check out more blue themed photos starting with Elaine Tweedy of I Got the Shot Photography, capturing memories with pets and their people in Northeastern PA and surrounding areas.
The theme for week 36 of the Pet Photography 52 Weeks Project is blue.
I had a few ideas in my head for the theme, mostly including the sky as my background since we have blue sky and lots of sun every day.
With the harsh, merciless heat, shooting time was limited to minutes - Seriously. After that dogs and people were miserable and tongues were long.
Even when the sun was setting it was around 105 degrees and a little humid and just plain gross.
Somehow, I lucked out with one cloudy day. I love cloudy days for photos because I can shoot anywhere, not just where the sun allows.
Cloudy day meet Elf, my crazy brown Border Collie Whippet mix. This is my favorite of her with the blue theme in mind and it would not have been an option in full sun.
The portrait below was taken with a wide-angle lens at a low angle and isn't exactly what I wanted. But the week is up, so this will do for now, but I'll definitely redo this one.
Below, is just a quick headshot in front of a dumpster. :)
That's it for this week.
