3 Reasons to hang those faceless images on your walls.

When going through your images don't overlook the less obvious images of your dog's booty. I know, I know, it sounds a little strange, but let me explain.

1. Storytelling

Happy, alert, fuzzy faces are usually what draws me into a pet portrait. It's the expression that matters, right? YES, and no. Sometimes a dog looking off into the distance can leave you wondering what he or she is looking at, and I think the brain just naturally fills in the blanks for us and we come up with a story about the dog and what is going on in the image, making this type of image a great conversation starter.

2. Pure joy

Think about the last time your heart felt full watching your dog running, frolicking, playing, and just being a happy dog? Best feeling ever, right?! They give us so much, of course, we want to see them living their best lives. The pure joy you'll feel every time you see your happy dog on your wall is what decorating is all about - bringing that joy into your daily life.

3. The details

We love all the things about our dogs! The image below is of my 11-year-old Border Collie from way back when he was just growing his legs. This photograph melts my heart. I love everything about it! Not only do I love the reminder of that special first trip to the lake, but I also love all the little details. I love those long legs, the little white tip of his tail, the white spot on his neck, the puppy fuzz, and of course the wind blowing through all that puppy fuzz around his floppy ear, then I imagine him contemplating the challenge of how to get to the beloved tennis ball. Oh that tennis ball... You wouldn't know from the photo, the many sleepless nights I had over his obsession for that ball. My worst nightmare for a flyball dog. The good news is, he is a smart boy and kept his tennis ball love in check to enjoyed many years of being my flyball partner. See what I mean?! This one photo of my cute boy's backside brought back all the memories of our training challenges and accomplishments.
